    parent login

Posted by Itslearning Team on Mar 26, 2009 06:21 AM PDT | Delivered

A lot of parents want to follow-up their children but to do this they need access to information from the school. A parent log in where the parents can get access to the childrens work, lesson plans, messages from the teachers, attandance data etc will give the parents ability to follow-up their children.

This feature could also be of relevance in other scenarios

    Content creation

Posted by Itslearning Team on May 12, 2009 12:11 AM PDT | Active

We have got several suggestions to develop a tool for content creation. Teachers have given us feedback that the note tool with the new Web 2.0 capabilities is nice but it could be nice and usefull to have a tool for making collections of pages that can easily be distributed to the learner and also other teachers.

A scenario could be as follows. A teacher prepare some lessons about the election in the USA and want to make some information available for the learners. She makes a collection of pages with self written text, some references to articles published on the Internet, YouTube video clips etc. This material should work as motivation and information for the learners.

And the notification should be done in a better way. It should tell exactly what's new/just updated. Maybe on the front page? So you don't have to enter each course just to see that there's a new message in the forum you don't follow.

(This idea was posted by Tri m. Nguyen on 20 May with a couple of other ideas. It is important that each idea are posted seperatly.)

Thumbs up / I support this / I do not agree etc...

Posted by Itslearning Team on Dec 20, 2010 12:28 AM PST | Active

We picked up this idea from our Release Blog:

"As a usuer of it's at university level, it would be an added bonus in discussions if users could tumbs-upp (like) or thumbs-down (disslike) comments making it easier for those that are not as active to still participate in discussions by showing their biases."

Maybe the choices should be more like "I support" / "I disagree"?
