We are missing an easier direct access to it's learning for instance from external it's learning emails, alerts and other notifications. This feature is really missing and a real bounderie to many of our teachers at the university. Very often it is needed to be able to send out an email with a link to a course - and when the recepient (who is participating in the course) clicks on the link he/she should be guided to the loginpage, logg in and then automatically be directed to the course.
Open ares in courses in it's learning and the possbility to link directly to them

Our users are "screaming" for the possibility to open certain areas of the system in order to give e.g external collegues the possibility to take a look at the course. The "publish externally" feature is not enough and is not working very well. In our own homebuilt LMS (that the users had to stop using in order to use its learning) and as well in Blackboard this is a possibility- to determine wich pages in the course should be open to the public - this is an actual look into the course and not a mirror. The user gets a link to the course - follows it and gets access to some of the areas. It the person wants to interact or otherwise be active they have to be a participant in the course and they must logg in.
