When creating a post for a discussion thread it is too easy to delete the whole thread by attempting to delete an entry. There are no warnings to prevent unwanted deletions and the effect can be devastating to users when so much work is lost. The thread is not sent to a trash so cannot be retrieved without a full restore which can cause more damage to other threads.
