Calendar access through RSS/webcal would allow the calendar to be opened on both calendar applications (e.g. iCal) and mobile devices (e.g. iPod and mobile phones). This feature is already embraced by one of itslearning's competitors (StudieWeb) and it would greatly enhance the user experience. Although the scheme was initially set up for iCal only, it is currently supported by most calendar applications and can be synced with windows mobile devices as well. For more information how to implement this, I - the brother of this user - would gladly help as an experienced programmer and I can be contacted at greatslovakia ['AT'] zoho ['.'] com.

CalDAV as an addon to a calendar service. Many people can use the CalDAV service with Windows Calendar or Apple iCal.

A few of my schools use google calendar as their school calendar. Could this be added to the learning platform?

I would like to see the option of disableing the disply of calendar entries in the calendar for a given subject. When added as a guest to a subject - or when invited in as a fellow teacher in someone elses subject - their calendar entries are added to your calendar making it totally cluttered. Guests and teachers should be able to turn off "show calendar entries" for a given subject (note that "show calendar entries" should be default).

We use the calendar function for information about homework etc., but the students complain that they have to individually access every subject they are a member of just to see if there is anything new added to the calendar (like homework for a couple of days ahead). I know there is a summary of today on the main page after login, but that is just for ... today. Beacuse of this the students beg their teachers to post calendar related information as annoucements instead, so that it is easy for them to see when changes/updates have been made.
The students would like some kind of notification when the calendar has been edited in their particular subject (perhaps by highlighting the name of the subject as is the case when new annoucements are posted).

I would be nice if the calendar in it's learning could show lesson hours instead of clock hours. This is more natural for primary and secondary education

As a user of GoogleCalendar, it would be very useful to be able to add the calendar from it's learning via iCal, instead of being forced to manually enter the entries from it's learning to GoogleCalendar. Naturally, iCal can be used by many other calendar softwares than GoogleCalendar.
This will lead to further compatibility for iPhones and Windows Mobiles since those can be synchronized the it's learning calendar by making an array e.g. through GoogleCalendar.
This feature is needed!
