As a user of GoogleCalendar, it would be very useful to be able to add the calendar from it's learning via iCal, instead of being forced to manually enter the entries from it's learning to GoogleCalendar. Naturally, iCal can be used by many other calendar softwares than GoogleCalendar.
This will lead to further compatibility for iPhones and Windows Mobiles since those can be synchronized the it's learning calendar by making an array e.g. through GoogleCalendar.
This feature is needed!
Itslearning.com iPhone Application

iPhone is expanding widely, and with the amount of iPhone users just in Norway, it's safe to say that an Itslearning application would increase usabilty and visiting numbers. As I am a student myself, I would increase my visiting to my schools profile to catch up with the latest news available. Not just referring to general news about the school itself, but to see subjects and read information from there would be most likely a huge hit.
By going directly to itslearning.com with Safari on iPhone, the site is not functional at all and the Java experience itself is to heavy and the resolution used on the site is not watchable at all on the phone.
Several teachers on my school has an iPhone themself, and when I told them my idea they were excited and they saw that this is a potential to reach out to more students and teachers.
The SDK provided with the iPhone OS is easy if you set your mind to it, and a ITL portal on iPhone would not take that many hours. Services provided with the application could be:
- Read news
- Read subjects and see paper dues
- Calendar
- Messages
Doing task and delivering papers is a whole other case, and not needed, but when Gilde (Norwegian meat processing company) can make an application to give out recipies, ITL could make a portal for simple viewing.
A wish a good amount of people would like to see come to life.

Something that is featured on a lot of sites, a "remember my login" option would be very handy to have. This is especially useful for use with applications like Mozilla's Prism.

As a school, we have a number of rooms and laptop trolleys that we would like to make available for booking online. The calendar isn't the best way of doing this as it is cumbersome and we've not found an easy way of restricting the calendar to write only (staff can, if they so choose, delete other staff entries in favour of their own!) We're looking for similar functionality to conference room booking software, allowing us to specify facilities available for booking and manage the recurrence and timing of the bookings (we don't run an on-the-hour timetable.)

Most teachers have a wealth of material that is held in public areas on a network, laptops, memory keys etc. The ability to upload multiple files that retain their folder structure would give teachers a head start with it's learning, resulting in higher uptake levels. The current 32MB limit is very restrictive.
Drag and drop functionality is highly desirable here

One thing I really miss from ClassFronter at UiB, is the ability to download all files in one location as a zip archive. On It'sLearning, we have to download one file at a time, which can be quite time consuming if there are many files in one location.
For example, here at HiST Fysioterapi, we have a large collection of articles in one of our courses (20 or so articles). All these articles are in PDF, and I want to download them so that I can view them offline on my mac. To do this, I will have to first hit the name of the article, and then the "download "filename.pdf". That will be 40 clikcs and a lot of work just to download them, when I instead could have hit a "download folder contents as zip archive" button and had them all instantly in my download location

We need DirectEdit functionality that is independant from Windows and Internet Explorer only.
it's learning is supposed to be platform independant, but has opted to keep one of the most useful features in teacher's daily work a Microsoft-only.
Many people use Firefox and some even Macs. We need the same functionality!

As a teacher,
I would like to export content from one it's learning site and import it to another, retaining full functionality and design of all content types.
In order to:
- take my content with me to a new school, also using it's learning
- share the content developed with other colleagues using it's learning
