    Bulletin boards - deleted bulletins

Posted by Anders Kjaer on Mar 11, 2010 01:07 AM PST in Itslearning ideas portal | Active

From time to time news "disappear" from the bulletin boards. As they can be of great importance and vital for the school, we want to prevent this from happening.

It's our suspicion that users delete the news - possibly without realising the consequences for other users.
    We therefore have two suggestions:
    1. The text which asks the user: "Do you really want to delete this bulletin?" is expanded with text that explains to the user, that if he chooses to delete the bulletin, it will disappear from the bulletin board and not be visible for any user at all.
    2. Deleted news kan be found in the administrator's trashcan and restored.

Bulletins are also deleted when the hierarki under which it has been listed is deleted. Many of our bulletins are published for å short period of time then revived later when the same information is needed again. However, our hierarki is deleted each school year and the news with it. I Agree that we should have trashcans for this type of thing.
