We need to be able to override quiz grades in the gradebook. Sometimes a student needs their grade changed in a graded quiz because of a poorly written question or some other problem. We would like to be able to either 1)manually override an individual question's grade (which then recalculates the final quiz grade) or 2) manually override the overall grade.

Hi!
I can agree on this one. In a correspondance the support motivated not having this option with the student's right to legal protection, but that's not a sustainable motivation.
As said previously, it happens that a question wording has been poor, and in such a case a teacher needs the option of giving the student the ponts he is entitled to. Legal protection can be guaranteed by having a log, that registers such changes. Thats what e.g. Blackboard has.
regards,
Tore

Any improvement to the flexiblity in the assessment engine and subsequent grade book (N. America) would be a significant step. Our N. American clients are discussing how itslearning could be the best system in N. America IF there are some enhancements such as this to the assessment engine and grade book.
