To add a progress bar when uploading so you can see how long your upload has to go

The Java upload applet ought to provide this, but the bar only moves when the whole file has been uploaded. Also, the Java applet does not work with files over ~30 MB. I have made a separate issue for this.

We have lots of students needing support, because they cancelled their upload halfway through, thinking it had just died. Since there is no upload status bar!
