I think there needs to be a slicker system of user migration from year group to year group than the current heirarchy system.

It's not the friendliest and I'm convinced it's one reason why in my LA, most pupils are not in the right year group.... which means teachers find it a pain to find them to add to courses... which means they give up and don't use its.

In the old My Desktop, there was a simple option to move Y6 to 7, 5 to 6 en bloc. this movement has become harder in its. I know there is Lynchpin, but that's an extra £x per head and in these stringent financial times, one of the 1st things to not take up.

So, my plea is for a simpler way of shifting pupils from year group to year group without the expense of Lynchpin.

Other companies off a free service whereby the school sends a csv to the firm and they create the users and they're parked in the right year group. Maybe this can be done in its, but it isn't pretty. Or maybe its could email out example spreadsheets?

I can see why, in a secondary school, the flexibility/complexity is needed for their different groups/sets, but a primary generally would only want Forename, Surname, Password, Year Group, email Address...

So, my plea is for easier user management.

    Thanks for reading this marathon!
