It would certainly be in keeping with the concept of collaboration. Losing the element icons when exporting IMS content is a real pain in this respect. All formatting should be retained too.

I am currently working with multiple schools and create courses on one site with a course developer and them move those courses onto their own individual campus when they are fully developed. Moving from one site to another causes multiple unexpected issues so being able to move them seamlessly would be beautiful to say the least.

It shouldn't be too dificult to achieve this and it's vital if we're going to effectively share content between sites.
